Welcome to YoungTrappers.com. A new not-profit trapping program. Our goal is to preserve the trapping heritage and help our youngsters and you to get off on the right start and out into the great outdoors. With today's "modern technology" some children just can't get away from the video games or the television while others just don't have anybody to show them the greater things in life. While other parents just don't have the funds to get their children started in another activity.
Either way this program can help!
We offer so many resources to the beginner. We offer an interactive forum for kids and adults to ask questions about trapping related issues and to get the answers. We also offer many resources to the trapping industry along with other information on State Trapping Associations, Trapping Supply Dealers, Fur Dealers & Buyers, Contacts of local trappers for the kids to get in touch with a Sponsor Program all for the kids.

It is our duty as trappers of this decade to preserve this great heritage and tradition for the ones who will follow in our footsteps.By teaching these kids the proper ways of trapping and ethical trapping techniques we can make a difference in the future of trapping. Without educated trappers such as yourself to help them or show them, how will they ever learn or get started?

For Education ~ Not For Profit

I think all of us understand why this program is crucial to the existence of trapping in the future.
The program and how it works:
YoungTrappers.com collects the donations of trapping related info and supplies from Supply Dealers , Trapping Organizations and trappers such as books, magazines, videos, traps, trap parts, trapping tools, trap stakes, gift certificates, trapping memberships and basically any type of gear that can be used on the trapline or the fur shed such as rubber boots, waders, gloves, warm clothing, catch poles, flashlights, disposable cameras, trapping baits, lures or fur handling tools (new or used is fine with all donations.
Then these donations will be fixed or repaired if needed to get the items usable again such as adding new springs, swivels, chains & jaws to traps , patching rubber boots & gloves and sewing any warm clothing that may need repaired. All repairs and labor will be taken care of by the YoungTrappers.com staff and volunteers.
Then these items will be put into starter kits by target animals such as an individual Species Kit and donated to youngsters around the country. After YoungTrappers.com has spoken with the child's parents or guardians over the phone ( so that we are not shipping items to children who are not allowed to have them ), YoungTrappers.com will package up the items requested for loan and pay the shipping to them. (Hopefully we will have the funds to do so.)
All supplies received from YoungTrappers.com shall be returned to YoungTrappers.com at the end of the Regular State Trapping Season at the cost of the borrower. Since many states have different trapping season's and dates, this will allow other trappers to use the gear you had used. It also allows us to make any repairs to the items and to get these items ready for the next seasons use. You are responsible for your borrowed items and if they get lost, stolen or unreturned to us, YOU will be held liable to replace them.
